Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Chat to Office browser extension and related website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Chat to Office helps users export a current AI response, the current question and answer, individually selected messages, or a complete conversation from supported AI chat pages into Word, Markdown, TXT, and PDF documents. It also provides Clean, Report, and Compact Word document styles. Features and supported platforms may change as the Service develops.
2. Your content and responsibility
You retain your rights to content you provide or select. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to access, process, export, and use that content, and for complying with the terms of the third-party platform where it appears.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to violate law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, bypass access controls, distribute malware, interfere with the Service, or process content you are not authorized to use.
4. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. Word, Markdown, and TXT exports are processed locally in your browser. If you explicitly choose cloud PDF export, the selected export content is temporarily transmitted to the secure Cloudflare rendering service and is not persisted by Chat to Office.
5. Third-party services and independent status
Chat to Office is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft or any AI platform mentioned on this website. Microsoft, Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the names and marks of supported AI platforms belong to their respective owners. References to compatible products and services are descriptive only and do not imply an official relationship, partnership, or sponsorship.
Supported AI platforms, browser stores, and document applications are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. Availability can be affected by changes to those third-party products or websites.
6. Beta service
The current 0.4.0 public version is a free Beta. Billing, monetization, paid-plan limits, subscriptions, and checkout are disabled. Beta features may be incomplete, change, or occasionally fail. Please keep backups of important documents and verify exported content before relying on it.
7. Planned plans and billing
At commercial launch, the planned Free plan includes up to five current-answer, current Q&A, or selected-message exports per day using one shared daily quota, and up to three full-conversation exports per month. The planned Pro plan removes these usage limits and includes direct PDF export.
Planned Pro pricing is USD $4.90 billed monthly or USD $39 billed annually unless a different price is clearly shown at checkout. If paid plans launch, payments will be processed by Creem as merchant of record, checkout terms may also apply, and subscriptions will renew automatically for the selected billing period until canceled.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address misuse, or maintain the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, an in-product or website notice.
